Breaking Free from Traditional Moving Companies

The stress of moving is among the greatest of all pressures that a family can experience. The notion of selling a house, buying a new home, setting up children in a new school system, and last minute repairs only compound with the stress of meeting deadlines and trying to manage everyday tasks. Even a simple local move across town can be a nightmare, as it requires organizing everyone’s schedules, leaving childhood friends behind, and finding new traffic routes to and from work.
With all the complications surrounding the average move, the most stressful revolves around hiring movers to pack and drive everything to the new home. Traditionally, the only options available to movers was to have people enter their home, go through their personal belongings, pack everything, load it on a truck, and drive it to the new home where everything would be piled in heaps at the center of each room, or to pack everything themselves and attempt to drive an oversized truck across country.
Assuming the moving company did what they said they would, only a few items will be lost or broken, while self-movers are constantly in a rush to return equipment before being billed with expensive late fees. Unfortunately, even with the less than adequate service provided, moving companies of all types are notorious for including hidden fees and overcharging their customers without notice.
After years of poor customer service, expensive hidden charges, and countless family heirlooms being broken, people are getting wise and choosing a third option that reduces stress rather than adding to it. The results have been astounding with customer satisfaction exceeding expectations, while the business plan does not differ too greatly from the traditional options.
Up to three business days before the move, a trailer is dropped off in front of the old house where the residents pack and load all of their possessions into the trailer at their leisure, and the trailer is sealed, picked up, and driven to the new home. Once delivered, movers have another three business days to unpack the trailer before it is picked up, and the stress of broken items or driving a huge truck has completely been avoided.
The archaic form of stressing over the quality of moving companies, hoping that furniture, clothes, and memorabilia are delivered on time and in one piece are gone, replaced with a sense of ease and the ability to work at a reasonable pace. Of course, there is still the matter of registering the kids at their new school.
